Rio Grande in Big Bend Ranch State Park

Big Bend Ranch State Park, just west of Big Bend National Park, offers views of rugged volcanic landscapes and many opportunities for backcountry solitude. The drive along River Road from Presidio to Lajitas hugging the Rio Grande is a top scenic drive.


Get maps, obtain permits, and  pay entry fees at Barton-Warnock Visitors Center, outside Lajitas, or Fort Leaton, just outside Presidio.
